This role will write evergreen articles and expertly craft headlines to bring in target audiences, with a focus on affiliate commerce content and DTC brands.
A lot about you:
We are seeking an affiliate commerce expert who knows how to craft content that is engaging to readers and also aligned with the goals and priorities of key brand partners.
This candidate should have a passion for creating content across all categories for Gen Z and Millennial audiences, reviewing products/services, creating original content and reporting, working directly with DTC brands and partners, and more.
This writer will work on the In The Know editorial team, in tandem with editors on Yahoo.com and AOL.com, and work closely with social, audience development, marketing, operations, and other internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Write multiple highly-engaging sponsored/branded articles daily that attract and engage Gen Z and millennial audiences.
- Activate on commerce-initiatives for In The Know like writing product reviews, covering and working in collaboration with affiliate and DTC partners, and product-focused content that is geared for an 18-34 year-old audience .
- Publish articles within the CMS and select and optimize all parts of the story including images, headlines, related videos, and more.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to learn and share best practices on engaging content.
- Work with analytics tools to analyze content performance.
- Collaborate with social, audience development, and marketing teams on distribution strategies and opportunities for created content.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven digital publisher.
- 3+ years writing affiliate commerce content with proven experience of driving sales and conversions.
- Experience pulling and utilizing data to inform editorial decisions.
- Knowledge and passion for trending topics, especially in commerce and shopping-related topics.
- Understanding of affiliate commerce metrics such as GMV, net revenue, conversion rates, and more.
- Ability to work cross‐functionally and maintain effective communication across multiple internal teams.
- Process-oriented self-starter with the ability to move a project to completion and possessing a continuous drive toward improvement.
- Experience with content management systems and dashboards.
- Strong G Suite skills.
